Please Note: Due to the interactive style of this training, space is limited to 45 registrants. This session requires a working microphone to participate in group discussions and a willingness to share questions and concerns.

Description: This is an opportunity for you to speak with and hear from your peers. Are you facing water losses at your utility? Are you thinking of developing or expanding a water loss control program, but aren’t sure where to start? Would you like an opportunity for more interactive group discussions? If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” then this Interactive Water Loss Discussion for Small Water Systems is designed for you!

Join us for an interactive opportunity to engage with your peers who are also dealing with water loss control issues. Ask questions, tout your successes, find out what has and hasn’t worked for other utilities.

This virtual hour and a half session is an opportunity for small drinking water systems to share their particular water loss control challenges and gain insight from other attendees regarding these issues. The session is a chance to learn from each other in an interactive, peer-exchange format. This session offers system operators, managers, and decision-makers the chance to:

  • Dive deeply into water loss control issues
  • Interact with a group of their peers tackling similar challenges
  • Meet water professionals from outside their organization

Moderators:

Certificate: This Peer2Peer session has NOT been submitted for approval of continuing education credit. We can provide a certificate of attendance to eligible attendees, but cannot guarantee it will meet your PDH or CEU requirements.

Description: The State of Tennessee wants to ensure that water systems applying for infrastructure project grant money have a plan to use it wisely. The EFCN is offering this no-cost 2-part training to help you prepare to select infrastructure projects that will most benefit your system while improving maintenance to delay the need for new infrastructure by reducing high levels of real water loss. This training will walk through the basics of Asset Management, identifying its five core components. It will focus on elements of the construction planning phase that allow for best project selection, including maintenance planning specifically focused on water loss reduction.

When it comes to spending money wisely, you can make the biggest impact during the planning and design phase of your project. Doing so requires the right team and asking the right questions. Therefore, we will walk through developing your planning team and having a framework for developing the right questions to ask your engineers.
